From the Editor | September 2011
September is a busy month that marks days of remembrance and celebration. This month marks the 10th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center. This month also celebrates the start of Hispanic Heritage Month on September 15th. Therefore, we will have pieces that will honor both events.
Our feature articles for the month focus on nurturing the mind. As women we recognize that sometimes nurturing our mind takes a back seat to life’s other demands. We tend to put ourselves last (physically and mentally) in order to satisfy the needs of others at work and at home. Our mind is the greatest asset that women possess and we must remember that it must be nurtured just like any other part of the body.
Our first newsletter, “A Touch of PYNK” went out last month. We hope you enjoyed it. If you haven’t signed up for it yet, make sure you do by visiting our site. You can also text PYNKLIPSTICK on your phone to 22828 to get started.
PYNKlipstick continues to recognize outstanding women in our communities in our Precisely PYNK section. This month’s featured women are the owners of Brasil 1500, a clothing company out of Brazil.
Again, thank you for joining us on our journey.
