During the month of November 2010 the PYNKambassadors held its first community service activity at East River High School in Orlando, Florida. The group partnered with the school and asked each student organization to donate $30 to build a bear for the children at the Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Florida. Within a two-week period the PYNKambassadors’ raised over $1200, enough to build 37 bears. Each organization who donated was allowed to name their bear and choose its clothing. Young Women’s Leadership Symposium
PYNKlipstick encourages all women to become empowered. After all that is one of the beliefs PYNKlipstick was founded on. On March 5, 2011, the PYNKambassadors attended the Young Women’s Leadership Symposium at Rollins College. The National Diversity Council hosted the one-day workshop to promote the development of future women leaders. The PYNKambassadors participated in a series of workshops on topics that discussed racism and bigotry, the importance of academics and staying in school, empowering relationships and building self-esteem, and table etiquette.
The PYNK Shop
The PYNKambassadors teamed up with Jayde Donovan of the Johnny and Jayde Morning Show on radio station XL106.7 in Orlando, Florida for The PYNK Shop. During the months of February through April, the PYNKambassadors collected over 120 gently used formal dresses and male formal wear to give out for free to students at East River High School who needed dresses for prom and graduation.
